throwing a chair,

I dream of people I can’t call.
I wake up pissed off at shit I can’t fix.
I walk around with ghosts clawing at my back.
So I built something I could wear
instead of letting it rot inside me.
I made this jacket instead of blacking out.
Instead of crying on my bathroom floor.
Instead of destroying another piece of myself
that I’d just have to try to rebuild.
This jacket ain’t for show.
It’s for survival.
